Couldn't have been happier
It's been an amazing adventure this past month really excited to have our young readers sign-up. We started the program focusing on the Montessori school enrollment at this time and then plan to open with more hours to our community.
Ours readers are participating in our programs with enthusiasm and excitement. We are learning such great vocabulary words as “compacted” that we found in our story I Stink! McMullan part of our ABC theme the first week. That was quite amazing ABC soup of garbage that created a lot of laughter.
In the beginning of the month it was kind of stressful I have to admit getting started with the program with only two weeks preparation and notifying the class parents of what was coming up and what was our program was about was kind of difficult. Trying to present the program in a short period was a challenge. But we did great - I can't knock it we got 10% of enrollment from the class which I'm pretty proud of and it's great way to start off the program.
The small setting is perfect process to learn learning what works in the program and what doesn't work but so far what we design as part of the Literacy Corner has really been successful.
Here's a quick look at what we do during our reading workshop:
This is been a great start I'm really excited about Literacy Corner and what we could do to promote literacy at home and share with our community.
All the best,
